Hi Guys

First up I would like to share the layouts that I created for my Brisbane Scrapbooking and Papercraft Expo classes.
I had just the most amazing time sharing my scrappy passion with those who attended!! I found that I was getting so much more out of them than I was giving!! The ladies who attended were just the most amazing creatives! They whole-heartedly embraced what I was hoping to share and they did it with enthusiasm and passion! From the bottom of my scrappy heart, THANK YOU to you all!!!!

This is my double sample layout showcasing some fun and funky tissue paper/mist/fibre and gauze techniques.

These 2 single layouts were my class examples to showcase some simple 'Painterly, Misting and hand journaling' techniques.

To those Ladies who missed out on titles I picked them up on Monday so I am planning to have them in the post by the weekend :)

Scrapbook & Papercraft Expo & Convention Update

Hi Guys

I just wanted to update you re the fabulous classes available at the Brissy Expo, ....not many sleeps left LOL :) :) :)

You can get sneek peeks of my classes on my right hand side bar and links to the site.

But here is some class info :)

Simple, Funky, Painterly, Misted Fun
with Louise Nelson
Skill level: beginner to intermediate

You will get to create 2 single 12 x 12 layouts which will let you get all 'painterly and misted' with your backgrounds and, in doing so, Louise will share her tips and techniques for creating visual dimension and landscape elements. You are also encouraged to draw your own masks and hand-cut them, write your titles by hand, and doodle; and, if you're in the mood, even draw your own embellishments by hand.

Layout 1 would suit multiples of a small photo 5 x 8cm and smaller proof-size photos in either black and white, or a colour to suit a blue theme
Layout 2 would suit a single photo portrait/landscape up to 12cm on longest edge in either black and white, or a colour to suit a green theme.

Class includes: Chipboard and chipboard elements by Imaginarium Designs; GlimmerMists by Tattered Angels; paint by Kaisercraft; paint pens by Posca.

Students bring: your Expo Tool Kit.
plus a metal ruler (a must - wooden rulers aren't allowed due to OH&S precautions)
Stanley knife
apron
large glue stick
small soft-bristle paintbrush
heat gun (if you have one please)
3 sheets of scrap A4 paper
if you have any Posca Paint pens at home please bring them too

Class cost: $50

'My Wish... ' Double Layout
with Louise Nelson

Skill level: advanced; the double layout involves several detailed 'hands-on' techniques, so you need to be able to work/create consistently with minimal supervision to complete it in the time frame.

In this class, you will create a double 12 x 12 layout combining both traditional scrapbooking products and up-cycled elements. Throughout, Louise will share her tips and techniques for creating unique and tantalising background textures and dimensional elements with you.
This project suits 1-2 small to medium-size black and white photos, portrait or landscape.

Class includes: Chipboard and chipboard elements by Imaginarium Designs; Chalkboard GlimmerMists by Tattered Angels; rub-ons by Kaisercraft; tissue paper, string, bling/confetti, gauze, watch crystals.

Students bring: your Expo Tool Kit.
plus a metal ruler (a must - wooden rulers aren't allowed due to OH&S precautions)
Stanley knife
large glue stick
fast-drying clear glue
black journal pen
small soft-bristle paintbrush
heat gun (if you have one please)
