Hello Hello :)
I have just cut and paste a step out brief I did for a tag for Prima Marketing So love using these sprays :) :) :)
Tagmakers, have you seen our
Color Bloom sprays yet? If not, then get ready for a fabulous project by our very own Louise Nelson! She is going to show you some fabulous ideas for coloring different Prima products to make your tags really stand out!
Louise has created a sweet ‘bunches of love’ tag, using an assortment of Prima products, to showcase just how versatile this fabulous spray mist is. Louise just loves how full-bodied, yet subtle, the Color Blooms are, and how they take so well to a variety of surfaces.
With the canvas elements Louise likes to either dampen the canvas with water first, and then paint the canvas, or spray directly onto the canvas element. Louise has done both with the canvas embellishments for this tag.
After premoistening the
canvas flowers and leaves Louise then painted them with the mist using a small soft bristle paint brush.
For the canvas banner Louise misted it directly with
Lime Wedge. All canvas elements were dried carefully using a heat gun.
These
white flowers were also given a light dusting with the Color Bloom spray and allowed to dry naturally.
To create the mottled look on the tag background, it was first sealed with white spray paint and allowed to dry. The Color Bloom mists was then applied quite liberally. Using a heat gun, and a paper towel, Louise used a combined technique of dabbing and drying with the heat gun to get the mottled effect.
During construction of the bunch of flowers on the tag Louise has inserted the canvas flowers and leaves in amongst the Hello Pastel flowers! To soften the look a little Color Bloom-colored gauze has been used around the frame and around the edges of the bunch of flowers.
From this close up of the
frame you can see how well the Color Bloom highlights the pattern of the resin frame.
