Some of my favourtie things :) :) :)

Hello Hello :)

I was lucky enough to be able to share some of my favourite Prima things over on the Prima blog. Luckily I have been able to source these from some of my local Scrapbooking stores here in Adelaide, they arent all easy to find yet.

I have been told that the Color Bloom is an April Release and that the resin frames are no longer available for order, So you might need to order those online internationally if there are any left.

I am especially loveing the black and white and metallics combination at the moment :)

Cheers and Happy Scrapping

Heritage Layout Step out :) :) :)

Hello Hello :)

Today I would like to share with you a layout that is somewhat different from what I would normally create but in saying that the challenge to do so was fun :) :) :)

I have used a new release range from Prima Marketing :)

to begin with I selected 2 patterned papers and matted one behind the other.

I cut a decorative strip from one of the patterned papers and adhered it to the left side of the layout.

I then inked up all of the edges of the layout background.

To create more pattern on the background behind my photo i used a mask with one of the fabulous new Color Bloom Spray mists.

I also flipped the mask over and stamped on to the background all of the residule spray mist that was on the mask.

I cut out some of the pocket page insert graphics from one of the patterned papers, matted them and inked the edges, and then arranged them on my background. these were used to showcase my photo.

For final embellishing I used a felt die cut and coloured it with the Color Bloom Sparay mist.

I also coloured some of the new release trip with Color Bloom.

Additional embellisment included some Finnabair metals, wood elements, and SIIC's.

My title was completed using some cotton thread, new release wood grain alpha stickers.
I also added a few extra splats of colour suing some water colour paint.

Well that is it from me for the moment :) I do hope you are enjoying your day :)

Tagmakers, have you seen our Color Bloom sprays yet? If not, then get ready for a fabulous project by our very own Louise Nelson! She is going to show you some fabulous ideas for coloring different Prima products to make your tags really stand out!

Louise
Louise has created a sweet ‘bunches of love’ tag, using an assortment of Prima products, to showcase just how versatile this fabulous spray mist is. Louise just loves how full-bodied, yet subtle, the Color Blooms are, and how they take so well to a variety of surfaces.
Here's how
Mar 17 louise 1
With the canvas elements Louise likes to either dampen the canvas with water first, and then paint the canvas, or spray directly onto the canvas element. Louise has done both with the canvas embellishments for this tag.
  Mar 17 louise2
After premoistening the canvas flowers and leaves Louise then painted them with the mist using a small soft bristle paint brush.
March 17 louise 3
For the canvas banner Louise misted it directly with Lime Wedge. All canvas elements were dried carefully using a heat gun.
  Mar 17 louise4
The Shabby Chic Treasures resin frame was also colored using the Color Bloom spray-this time in Peony. It was misted, then dried using a heat gun.
Mar 17 louise5
These white flowers were also given a light dusting with the Color Bloom spray and allowed to dry naturally.
Mar 17 louise6
To create the mottled look on the tag background, it was first sealed with white spray paint and allowed to dry. The Color Bloom mists was then applied quite liberally. Using a heat gun, and a paper towel, Louise used a combined technique of dabbing and drying with the heat gun to get the mottled effect.

Mar 17 louise9

During construction of the bunch of flowers on the tag Louise has inserted the canvas flowers and leaves in amongst the Hello Pastel flowers! To soften the look a little Color Bloom-colored gauze has been used around the frame and around the edges of the bunch of flowers.

The tag title has been completed using these wonderful canvas alphabet stickers.

From this close up of the frame you can see how well the Color Bloom highlights the pattern of the resin frame.
